We had a nice Father's Day spending the day hanging out around the house, doing a project, and enjoying a nice meal - Croce's Restaurant's recipe for Seared Ahi. And of course, some Simply Sweets Father's Day cupcakes. I had an early morning Father's Day delivery to Brendan joined me so that Rob could sleep in.
Our Father's Day gift to Rob was a stepping stone project - they worked on it together and put their handprints on it. I'll update with a photo of the finished stone later.

Grandpa Brown and Grandma Betsy visit
Grandpa Brown and Grandma Betsy came for a visit - unfortunately, Grandpa Brown ended up having more of a tour of our local hospitals than the local sites. He's all better now and they're safely back home. They ended having to extend their visit a few weeks and Brendan liked getting some extra time to spend with his grandparents from Michigan.

Brendan loves to play with bubbles
This last picture is of Brendan and his Aunt Kirsten - they had a great time playing bubbles.
Water Baby
Sorry for the long time between posts - I'll try to do better next month.
Brendan LOVES the water. He has no fear of the water and loves to jump, dunk himself, blow bubbles and lay on his back. We try to go in the pool every night after school and work to cool off and help Brendan to burn off some of that toddler energy (with it being so hot, they don't go outside as much at school). These are some photos from the beginnning of June.

Butterfly exhibit at the Desert Botanical Gardens
We went to the Desert Botanical Gardens this morning to see the butterfly exhibit. Brendan loved the butterflies and all the other animals we saw on our trip - lizards, chipmunks, squirrels and snakes (these weren't wild). Brendan and I went last year, but this was Rob's first trip.

Its almost pool season
Brendan had his first dip in the pool (well first real one, he did have a quick dip the week before). He had a blast even though it was on the cold side. A few more weeks and we'll all go in (all the way in and not just staying on the step).
lounging on the sofa while eating his skittles before bed. He looks very tall in these photos but I took him in for his 2 year visit and he's average in height and weight now (45% percentiles) - he's really slimmed down in the past year.
Yesterday I gave him an icecream sandwich to eat and he eat the entire thing! (those round skinny cow ones)

more photos from March
Catching up with March before I can move on to April. A friend of ours hosted an easter egg hunt - Brendan did great finding the eggs and had a fun time with the easter egg toss - his favorite part of course was eating the candy. I had to post a picture from this party because I love his outfit.
Brendan has a new haircut - perfect for the warmer weather. Here's a few photos of him enjoying a nice day outside lounging in his chair and playing some baseball.
Brendan LOVES spaghetti (he's actually eating his "Easter bunny candy" but is still covered in sauce and chearing for spaghetti.

Happy Easter
Brendan was very excited for the Easter Bunny to come to our house because he knew there would be candy in the eggs. First we did an egg hunt in the back yard and Brendan quickly found all the eggs that the Easter Bunny left - he even hid the colored eggs that we dyed the day before. It was very very windy outside. Then we came inside to find our baskets. The Easter Bunny brought baskets for the entire family! Brendan's included chocolate (Easter Bunny made a stop by Simply Sweets), matchbox cars, rubber duck, stuffed bunny, Where the Wild Things Are book and some Thomas videos and books.
On Saturday, Rob and Brendan visited the Easter Bunny at the mall. Brendan even kissed and hugged the bunny.
